Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, many of us may find the festive period difficult this year, for lots of different reasons. But whatever it means to you, everyone should have the right to know how to manage their mental health throughout the holidays.

It’s very important to take time to look after your wellbeing and prioritise your own needs during the festive season - the holidays can be overwhelming time, especially if you have a long list of to-do’s.

It’s important to take time out of the everyday, not just in the festive period. If you find yourself getting upset or overwhelmed, take five minutes away from everyone to breathe and recharge!

It can sometimes be an overwhelming one, so it’s super important to still make time for yourself to do the things you enjoy.

This year, our Strong Young Minds elves have put together some DIY Christmas activities to help you unwind!

We would love to see your designs over the festive period - make sure you tag us @strongyoungminds (or @StrongYMinds on Twitter!)

That’s why this week, we take a look at some common feelings, some helpful tips on how to manage them, and the importance of being patient with yourself.

If you are aged 10 - 26 and need support get in touch with the team now - we are always here to offer help and support if you need it - especially throughout lockdown!
